What about
fire protection?
Westco can offer Photoelectric Smoke Detectors
and Heat Detectors to your alarm system. These devices have
the ability to communicate to our alarm monitoring center
just like any other device in your burglar alarm system.
These types of devices are very valuable in that they can
alert the monitoring center, who in turn alerts the fire
department. If you are not home and you do not have these
devices, you have to rely on someone hearing your “builder
supplied smokes” or some one seeing the smoke coming
out of the house and hope they report it quickly. With fire,
time is of the essence. Our houses are more than just a
structure, they are our homes. A lot of stuff in our homes
are irreplaceable and therefore the sooner the fire department
can get to the scene of a fire, the better of a chance they
can save the home and its contents.

Can Westco monitor an alarm that you did not install?
Maybe. Some security companies will electronically lock
up the the security panels so no other companies can do
anything...they tie you into using their services. Westco
does not electronically lock up our panels. If we are doing
our job correctly, then we maintain our customers; if not,
the customer should have the right to find another service
provider.

Is automation
expensive?
Actually, you would be shocked at the affordability and
the ease of use of an automation and home controls system
designed and installed by Westco! Seriously, people spend
more on flooring upgrades than they would have to to get
a basic automation and home controls system that would include
security, HVAC control, lighting control, and possible audio
control. Our systems are simple

As much as we would like every piece of business, we are
not able to install customer supplied products. When you
integrate a system, there are some components that do not
wire traditionally or they might not "play well"
with other brands. We are competitive with the products
that we promote and we would love to have the opportunity
to provide you high quality products and services as a turnkey
